High lake levels have become a common
condition on Bull Shoals Lake, but the anglers are taking it in stride and
continuing to bring some nice bags of fish to the scales.
Justin Tyler from Sturkie, Arkansas and
Randy Ziegler of Glencoe, Arkansas brought a five fish limit to the scales for
a first place finish as well as the Big Bass of the day. Their bag of fish
weighed in at 13.42 pounds. Tyler & Ziegler caught their bass on steep, main
lake points in the mid-lake. They were using ¾ oz jigs and fishing 20-50 feet
deep. The team took home $1020 for their first place finish and $430 for their
4.74 pound Big Bass. GREAT JOB!!!
Second Place went to Darrell Stuart and
Leon Newberry from Salem. They caught 10 keepers on Main lake bluffs in the
125 area. Using ¾ oz jigs and fishing at a depth of 30-50 feet deep. Their
five best fish
weighed 13.25 pounds. Darrell & Leon
took home a check for $600.
Mike Sanders from Pine Mtn, Arkansas and
Bryan Deardoff from Mtn. Home, Arkansas took a check for $400 for their 3rd
place finish. They brought 12.47 pounds to the scales. Sanders and Deardoff
